Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story!

Psalms 107:1-2a

Thousands of God-stories have taken place at Highrock over the years as our Lord has encountered people through worship, sermons, relationships, or ministry. Every week there are people at Highrock who have not been to church for years, or ever! Every week God is changing lives through our Small Groups, Sunday services, Highrock guides, Highrock Means Business, Momsrock, Kidsrock, International ministry, Youth Group, Anchor, Neighbor-to-Neighbor ministry and so many more! We never tire of hearing the exciting stories about all that God is doing!

So not only do we want to tell those stories like Psalm 107 exhorts, we want to be a place where more of those stories happen!

Do you have a “God-story”?

A time when God met you; challenged you; changed you; rescued you?
If we take time to look back, many of us have multiple stories like that!

Despite all our church-planting and creativity, there are still many more people eager to meet God at Highrock than we have space for.

Many people are enticed to meet God in a vibrant, joyful, and transformational Christian community like Highrock, but when they finally muster the courage to show up, too often they find that there isn’t space for them here! Both our Sunday worship services and Kidsrock classrooms are intimidatingly overcrowded. After service, the happy chaos of the fellowship time is too crowded to have the kind of relaxed conversation that makes people feel truly welcome and safe. Highrock places such a high value on hospitality, and yet our current facilities are hindering that value from being adequately expressed, which can curtail the story of someone hoping to discover God among us.

And our challenges are not restricted to Sundays. We have groups meeting in every available space each day of the week. The same crowding that makes Highrock’s current buildings feel so cozy and fun to those of us already here is also what makes them feel so intimidating and unwelcoming to others.

Jesus loved enough to sacrifice everything to make space at His table for us, and after nourishing us, sends us out to invite others. It’s our turn to sacrifice to make space for people who are precious to God so that more stories of God’s faithfulness can be told!

So we are building “more stories” on our buildings in order to create space where God can write more stories in people’s lives. And our hope is that as we follow Jesus through sacrificial giving, prayer, and trust in our Heavenly Father, we will also have new stories to share about God’s amazing faithfulness!

Please join us in this effort to make space for more stories celebrating the goodness of our God!

Highrock has changed my story

This new chapter of my life has people from the Young Adult Community that are not only in my story as characters, but as coauthors. They are shaping me and guiding me to new places and new experiences. They have shown me what it means to be better loved and how to better love others.

INVITING MORE PEOPLE TO BECOME PART OF HIGHROCK’S STORY

Highrock has been a huge part of our family story. We wouldn’t be us without Highrock. This is where Will and I came as young adults to find ourselves, and our place in the world and in God’s mission. We’ve really found a sense of purpose here; a calling to open our lives, our hearts, our home — everything we have —  to the work of Highrock and God here in our community.

Because it has meant so much to our family, we’d really love to invite other people into the same story, to see what the next chapter is for Highrock!

A PERSONAL INVESTMENT
IN THE KINGDOM

I am realizing that this is really more about who I am as a person and what I want to do in the world. It’s not just how much I have and how much I need to save for the future and for myself, but to really trust God and live a little bit on the edge. . . . I really want to give way more than what I was expecting to give towards the capital campaign, because I’m investing in the Kingdom of God.
